movie recommendation of the month: NEAR DARK. a timeless classic vampire movie that's got the perfect moods, characters, thrills, music and story. in our senseless errant present time, there seems to be some hype about vampire movies about romantic rouged skinny pansies, a heartless uninspired mainstream product designed for the typical square lowbrow female. NEAR DARK is the exact opposite and hence even more currently relevant. after watching this movie you must always remember: a vampire that doesn't get burned by the shafts of sunlight is likely to be just a soft poncey, a poor copy jerk dressed up in goth clothing bought from a supermarket. death to fake vampires.

i don't know what unearthly depths of mind this audiovisual dreamscape arose from, but apparently synth jazzers and dreamweavers ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER and GAMES have been involved. it's stunning how the redundance and minimalistic disturbing overlays of this video vision can give chill and thrill at the same time, feels like a déjà vu of another time dimension, where world and mind are in a postapocalyptic state, which doesn't have to be a worse scenario than present reality...
