the background story of this frowning tape might seem unbelievable but it's the pure intangible truth... read it over at UNCLE T... but be prepared, this one ain't for the tender minded. i share a weird and frightening mood due to contributing in the processing and distribution of this sinister creation of unkown origin, so please notice everyone: LISTEN AT YOUR OWN RISK.
the new ultimate urge in life: boundless, unreserved, corybanting, affectionate partying like the guys in the beginning of this bitchin' video. maximum respect.
today was a cold, rainy and dark day and while doing my running routine in the park, listening to bitchin' tunes from L.A.'s LONDON on my sony walkman, a feeling of sudden change came up. when i noticed a bat circling above my head for several minutes (true story), i saw it clearly...
CREEP SEASON IS ON!
here's a matching song by cute TUESDAY KNIGHT to embrace and welcome these upcoming spooky and shady days that lie ahead...
today i'm proudly presenting a rare and unknown gem of the action genre from 1979. SEVEN - DEATH IS THEIR WAY OF LIFE!.
this is pure montage of one-liners, hawaiian landscapes and beaches, bikini & topless playboy foxes, moustached daredevils, corvettes, carreras and aviators, mindless action and all of it told at a very high pace... a blonde moustached midget hitman on a skateboard is just one cool outstanding detail in this movie, but i'm not gonna spoil anything more. just look at the cover for some seconds and let it take effect, then watch this trailer. pick up this vhs, seriously. the more you dig this movie, the cooler you are!
GAMES can't be honored enough i guess. their style and talent of sampling and mashing up weird old material into more weird new material is avant-garde, nothing less.
this song and video are bliss in its purest form. enjoy, relax, and make this audiovisual dream of a fun and party life come true... make sure to order the new 12'' here - highly anticipated by the hyperthrust chapter and also including this hymn of happiness and delight.
so now that the claimant for record of the year by THE OUTRUNNERS has finally been released and exceeded all your wildest expectations by far, there's not a second to rest and mellow down for all the disciples to the VALERIE camp...
RUSS CHIMES just dropped the ultimate dance bomb with his MIDNIGHT CLUB EP (to be released digitally soon) - check out the videos especially designed for this shattering EP... these 3 songs are his finest work to date and this guy already defined a groundbreakingly new distinct sound as we all know. if this is the future of disco, nostalgia becomes obsolete.
and be sure to check out his live sets. i was lucky to witness this guy live a few weeks ago and there's nothing like it, just like his new songs, mindblowing, ecstatic non-stop power & action! the path of endless fame and success should finally be paved for this young lad by this release...
in praise of today's final release of this year's most anticipated record, the "running for love and money" ep by the infamous outerspace androids THE OUTRUNNERS, here is a preview to this audiopsychic trip to a place of no return... those two french masterminds accomplished to merge the maximum terrestrial coolness of sonny and rico onto a chill round magical piece of vinyl. if you dare, don't hold off and order this masterpiece HERE!
... and while waiting for this auricular trip to a world of fast italian sportscars, easy bubblepermed bikini girls and brightly reflecting drinks by a mystically moonlit poolside silhouette, take a trip to space with another mysterious teledisco outlet from france called PROGRAMAS.
movie recommendation of the month: NEAR DARK. a timeless classic vampire movie that's got the perfect moods, characters, thrills, music and story. in our senseless errant present time, there seems to be some hype about vampire movies about romantic rouged skinny pansies, a heartless uninspired mainstream product designed for the typical square lowbrow female. NEAR DARK is the exact opposite and hence even more currently relevant. after watching this movie you must always remember: a vampire that doesn't get burned by the shafts of sunlight is likely to be just a soft poncey, a poor copy jerk dressed up in goth clothing bought from a supermarket. death to fake vampires.
whether you are a discjockey, or a singer, or ideally both, see this video of balls out partying as a guide, MARZIO DANCE exhibits how you can do it. the success of the party is your responsibility, see the moves, the lights, the disco fog, the magic, learn, live.
appreciation for the MOBILE ARMORED STRIKE COMMAND, for this era when children's cartoons where all about fast and beautiful sportscars turning into armored war vehicles, filled with action and suspense, and morals that exposed terrorists for what they truly are: evil. no holds barred. remember: the weapon of criticism cannot, of course, replace criticism of the weapon.
the most iconic car for everybody, and this status is well-earned, hands down, seems to be the timetraveling, flux capacitor equipped flying delorean from BACK TO THE FUTURE. but how about a '84 camaro in sportsred, with double winged doors, that can transform into a flying, laser-blasting bomber of freedom and peace, that goes by the epic name of THUNDERHAWK? creator of this and many other epic cartoon intros is israeli mastermind SHUKI LEVY, maximum respect to this legendary man. the hyperthrust chapter is proud to present the very rare extended theme song in high quality!
i don't know what unearthly depths of mind this audiovisual dreamscape arose from, but apparently synth jazzers and dreamweavers ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER and GAMES have been involved. it's stunning how the redundance and minimalistic disturbing overlays of this video vision can give chill and thrill at the same time, feels like a déjà vu of another time dimension, where world and mind are in a postapocalyptic state, which doesn't have to be a worse scenario than present reality...
the ultimate summer feeling is sleeping late, wakened by shafts of sunlight, spending all day at the sea with your friends until the sun sets for a real hot summer night... the night is so hot, it's tennis shorts, tanktops, airy blouses, sandals and espadrilles for everybody on your way to the phenomenally hot magical disco night of your life... are you ready? cos i'm ready!
the peak of this party got to be the discjockey playing LOVE CLUB's anthem of hotness, listen to the beat and feel the summer heat!
the 12'' record of this magically dramatic song sold on ebay for more than 2000$. reason enough to be featured on the thrust! this one's rather to be played when having the blues, but nevermind, sunnyboys have emotions too. funny detail, the last scene of the music video is the cover of the record.
VINCE DICOLA, the mastermind well known for his epic soundtrack for ROCKY IV, was also responsible for the soundtrack to the ultimate cyber adventure one year later. several pieces of this soundtrack have been hyperthrusted into one hard as nails medley, presented below. enjoy.
there are many striking qualities of this song: the main synth theme, exotic drum sounds, lovely bassline, a refrain that goes "oh-oh-oh-ah this is just a dream", nothing really fits together but the song sounds like pure harmony though. kinda like a dream: first you live in a british telephone box right by the stone henge, now you ride a renault r20 from a moony french village to the italian sea in your holidays, next you're an owl living in a lighthouse at the adria shores, then transmuting to a stranger in the night, passing a magic spell to a lovely girl in the disco. in the end it all makes sense.
